MATCH PREVIEW: Relegation six-pointer as Yeovil host Brighton in crunch tie
Tonight is arguably Yeovil Town Ladies' biggest game of the season as the Glovers host relegation rivals Brighton in a crucial WSL clash.
Yeovil take on a Brighton side who have had a resurgence of late and before the international break secured an impressive 2-1 victory at home to high-flying Birmingham City.
Kayleigh Green and Ellie Brazil were on target as they came from behind to propel themselves away from the relegation zone.
These two sides met in the league earlier this season, with Yeovil losing 2-1 at the Checkatrade.com Stadium. First half goals from Jodie Brett and Victoria Williams proved decisive, despite Ellie Mason scoring following her saved penalty with 20 minutes to go.
Brighton are managed by former England manager Hope Powell and have won three games in the Women’s Super League this season, having joined the league for the 2018/19 season.
The Seagulls sit in ninth position with 12 points from 16 games, while the Glovers sit bottom with three points – but having played two games less than their opponents.
Former Glover Green returns to her former club tonight and Yeovil will be looking for their second league win and a chance to get off the bottom and start Mission Survival.
Lee Burch will have a full strength squad with both Georgia Evans and Amber Gaylor returning from spells out of contention.
