PREVIEW: YTLFC clash with Bristol City at Taunton Town FC

Yeovil Town host Bristol City in the latest round of the FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup ties and both sides will be looking to kick start their seasons in this competition.

Yeovil went down 2-0 to Everton at the weekend, while Bristol were beaten 4-0 by Manchester City, but there's local pride up for grabs as well as cup points on Wednesday

Both teams have lost their first two games in this competition.

With one win between them all season, neither side go in to this cup clash in great form. In fact, Bristol's only win this season came with a 1-0 success against Yeovil back in September.

Loren Dykes' first half strike was enough to take the points in the league.

A defeat for either side will leave them unable to qualify for a top two spot in Group Two South and out of the cup.

Bristol edged the clash between the two sides earlier this season, and also got the better of the Glovers 3-2 in the Spring Series earlier this year.

But Yeovil got the better of Bristol in the FA Cup last season on penalties but the Robins gained revenge with a league win a month later.

Yeovil then ended Bristol's unbeaten start to the 2016 season with a 2-0 win in May with Sarah Wiltshire and Ellie Curson getting the goals..

ONE TO WATCH –Loren Dykes (Bristol City)

Dykes was the difference when the two sides met back in September ad she managed to bundle the ball over the line from a Yana Daniels cross.

It was Dykes first goal of the season so she'll be looking to kick on and add to her tally quickly after breaking her duck.

Yeovil will look to keep her quiet as they look to pick up their first win of the season.

Bristol boss Willie Kirk:

"We said at the start of the season the Continental Cup was important for us, we should be getting out of that group. We had a very poor start but it's back in our hands assuming Chelsea beat Spurs, but I won't take anything for granted."

Yeovil's Ellie Curson on Bristol City:

"It's a local derby and I'm sure all the girls will be up for it. It's a midweek game and we love playing midweek in the evenings and I think it will be a really good game.

"Hopefully we can get our first win of the season because I think that first win is really important to us as a squad.

"We need to know we can go out there and win. It would be a little bit of belief, so in my eyes there is nothing but a win that is needed."

England face Bosnia & Herzegovina in a FIFA Women's World Cup qualifier at Walsall FC on 24 November, KO 7.05pm. Buy tickets (£10 Adult/£1 Under-18) at www.thefa.com/tickets
