Ambitious Yeovil Town Ladies FC determined to Achieve By Unity to keep its place in the top tier
Following on from the new criteria set by The FA for the 2018/19 season, Yeovil Town Ladies FC have acted without any hesitation and have set up a crowdfunding page, asking for local and national financial support.
If successful in their quest to raise the required funds, it will give the 2016 FA WSL 2 champions, the best chance in retaining its place in the top tier next season, as The FA announces new criteria, which means all top tier clubs must be a fully professional set up.
The recent news, has caused quite a mix of opinions, but Yeovil Town Ladies have always wanted to pursue the full-time status and have been planning for some time to do this. However, the speed in which The FA has requested for this to come in to place, is one which has rushed Yeovil in to acting quickly, due to the deadline of a license application on 10th November 2017.
With facilities, staff and infrastructure all at the ready and in position, the funds raised (expected to be around £350k) will allow for staff and players, along with additional support staff, to become full-time and meet the minimum 16 hours per week of elite level contact time.
The club is encouraging businesses and fans to get behind them and is able to offer various packages, with different rewards and benefits for doing so. The club is also willing to tailor a package to suit them, including advertising, social media, match day promotion, player appearances and visits, plus more!
The crowdfunding page can be found by clicking here which is now live and finishes on the 4th of November 2017, leaving less than one month to gain this much needed investment which is so required and deserved.
