INTERVIEW: Yeovil Town Ladies FC Captain continues to lead the team in 2017

Ellie Curson reminisces over last season and looks ahead onto Spring Series

The 23- year- old Welsh midfielder and Captain of Yeovil Town Ladies, Ellie Curson has signed a contract to stay at the club going into the 2017 FA WSL Spring Series.

Ellie joined from Bristol in 2014 and has been at the club for two full seasons, one of which she Captained the team in becoming current WSL 2 Champions and gaining promotion to WSL 1.

Curson on being Captain said: “It’s a great honour to be Captain again for the fourth coming season, it was great last year, leading the girls out at Huish Park is an absolute honour and it’s a proud moment for me every single time.

“It’s exciting, it’s exciting times for the club and for me as an individual.

“It’s a big step up and hopefully we can compete this season.”

Yeovil Town Ladies kick start their first campaign in WSL 1 by competing against Liverpool in the Spring Series Season at Huish Park on April 23rd. Tickets can be purchased here.
