Megan Walsh voted Women's PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans' Player of the Mon
Yeovil Town Ladies are delighted to announce goalkeeper Megan Walsh has been voted the November Women's PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans' Player of the Month by football fans across the country.
In a competitive vote, run by fan engagement experts Snack Media, Walsh received 33% of the votes.
Arsenal Women's Dutch midfielder, Danielle van de Donk, took second place with 21%.
In the final of five divisional votes carried out over eleven days via Snack's digital and social networks and supported by top flight football clubs, influencers and the press, it was clear that Walsh's strong performances caught the eye of football fans.
Most notably, when she kept a clean sheet against Everton, despite 28 shots on her goal, to help the club achieve their first win in 41 matches. The 1-0 victory was a historic three points – the club's first in the top flight.
Walsh said: "I want to thank everyone who voted for me and I am proud to have won considering the quality of the other nominees.
"It was a vital win against Everton but it was thanks to the effort put in by everyone at YTLFC both on and off the pitch. It important that we reproduce that level of commitment in all our games starting with our next game against Brighton."
