Stacey Pearson is a versatile player who has proved invaluable to manager Steve Phelps over the years, with her operating successfully in a number of key positions.
Stace is a creative midfield player who is confident on the ball, and can initiate good chances, adding much to the team as an attacking force. She is therefore a consistent and highly dependable member of the squad.
Stacey started her footballing career at age of 10 playing for Twyford Spartans. When she was fourteen she joined Exeter Central, where she stayed for two seasons before moving on to Exeter City, who were then playing at a higher level.
Stacey moved to Yeovil Town Ladies at beginning of the 2006/07 season, while continuing to play for her school and later college, winning the British Colleges Cup with Exeter College and going to the British Colleges five-a-side finals in Loughborough as captain, finishing 3rd.
Stace played in goal for Yeovil during most of the 2008/09 campaign, and proved to be a good shot stopper, putting in a number of fine displays – performances that got her the ‘Clubman’ of the year award that season.
Stacey has now returned to the outfield, and is playing a vital role as the girls look to gain promotion this year.
