Georgia Coles joined Yeovil Town Ladies from the Somerset Centre of Excellence in the summer if 2008, and has since become a vital member of the squad.
Georgia is one of a new breed of player in the ladies game. She is strong, at the peak of fitness and possesses superb technical skills. She can play right across the back four, and is a quick, bright, determined and committed player, who has superb tacking and passing ability.
Georgia Coles started her career as a junior with Weston St John. She soon impressed though, and when she was fourteen she joined the Somerset Centre of Excellence. She continued to develop at country level and when she reached sixteen, she was recruited by Yeovil Town Ladies.
Georgia came into the first team almost instantly, and operated at left back, where she soon became first choice. However, as the season progressed she gradually moved into the centre, striking up at fine partnership with Claire Heydon.
Her career in the game continued to flourish, and in December 2008 she honoured both herself and club by being selected for the England College squad – an establishment she has continued to represent ever since.
Georgia is looking to forge a career in the game, and not just on a playing level. Despite her tender years, she has already passed the FA Level One Coaching badge, is a FA Level Seven Referee and has passed the FA coaching disabled course.
Georgia is a highly talented defender, who will only get better as she matures, and as she does so, Yeovil Town Ladies will hopefully continue to reap the benefit.
