Michelle Yeowell joined Yeovil Town Ladies in the summer of 2006, and has since become an established member of Chris White’s successful Reserve side.
Michelle plays most of her games at left back, but is equally comfortable at right back and in the centre of defence. Over the past season’s she has proved a great asset to the team, not only playing in defence, but also in central midfield, up front and in her favourite left wing position.
Michelle started her footballing career with Hampton and Richmond Women's Football Club in Surrey, and developed in both their youth and senior set up.
When she joined Yeovil Town Ladies, Michelle initially played in the First team, but towards the middle of her first season she moved to the Reserves.
In that first season at the club she helped the reserve team to win the County League Cup, and then played a major role as they went close to promotion from the Somerset League in 2008, finishing the campaign as runners-up.
The Reserves finally gained promotion to the South West League in 2009, and again Michelle played a vital role, being in the starting line-up in every match.
Michelle Yeowell is a player who possesses good pace, and has a fine committed attitude, whether she is training or playing in a match. She is also a great clubman, who combines her playing with coaching the Under-Thirteen (Impeesa) youth team.
