Lux is a hardworking and determined attacking midfield player who picked up both the ‘Player of the Season’ and ‘Players Player of the Season’ awards in her first year at the club.

She is unflappable on the pitch, has good ball control, is a good passer and has fine tackling ability. She is an inspiration going forward, and has a habit of scoring vital goals. Quite simply, Lindsey Roe is the complete midfield player, and a manager’s dream!

She started her career at Ashdown Rovers in Dorset, where she served as a junior before, joining the Southampton Centre of Excellence at the age of fourteen.

Lux progressed well with the Hampshire club, and made her first team debut at the age of sixteen. She played for one season in the national Women’s Premiership with the Saints, and represented the county of Hampshire, as well as attending two England training camps.

Lindsey eventually moved on to AFC Bournemouth Ladies, where she spent a number of seasons, experiencing good success, eventually winning the Southern Premier League and Cup double. In the South West Combination Bournemouth did well, finishing in a top four position in 2008, but Lindsey could see the potential at Yeovil Town Ladies, and decided that her future lay in Somerset.

Now in her second season with the Glovers, Lux is playing a vital role, as the team look to go two better than last season’s third place finish, and finally gain promotion to the Premier League, Southern Division.
