Amy Wild is a prolific striker who joined Yeovil Town Ladies from Southampton Saints in the summer of 2008.
This pint sized forward possess electrifying pace and a superb natural ability to score goals – an asset that helped her to score an average of 1.1 goals a game in her first season with the Glovers – a decent tally by anyone’s standards.
Amy started her career as a junior at Weymouth Ladies, and soon grabbed the attention, with some fine performances. These came to the attention of the Dorset Centre of Excellence, who soon recruited her services.
Amy went on to form a prolific partnership at county level with her now Yeovil Town Ladies team mate Jemma Tewkesbury. The two girls made a real name for themselves, with Jemma eventually moving to Yeovil Town, and Amy to Southampton Saints.
Amy continued to score well with the Saints, and gained a reputation as one of the top strikers in the South West Combination, despite her team getting relegated in 2008.
Amy has forged a great partnership with her fellow strikers at Yeovil Town Ladies, and finished her first season as joint top scorer with Anusia Rourke, the girls scoring an impressive thirteen goals each.
And now into her second season at the club, Amy’s goal scoring is again proving vital as the Glovers go all out for promotion to the Women’s Premier league, Southern Division.
