Experienced coach Andy Dickinson joined the Yeovil Town Ladies coaching staff in the summer of 2007, and assisted by Amy Jones, immediately took charge of his present squad, then at Under-Twelve level.

It was a humble start for this inaugural team, with just three players attending the first training session at Tintinhull, but Andy never lost sight, and by the start of the season they had a sponsor in place to provide new kit, and twelve players ready to give their all for the team.

The squad enjoyed a highly successful season, which saw them win the League, and in the process gain much praise for their progressive football.

Amy departed in the summer of 2008 to take on the new Under-Twelve (Chaka) team, leaving Andy the task of moulding his squad into the new Under-Thirteen’s. This he did with his usual enthusiasm, and a massively successful season followed with them winning the league by twelve points, scoring an impressive 59 goals, and conceding just four.

They also won the cup, and did very well in a number or tournaments, adding to a resounding season.

Having now made the transition to eleven a side football, the Under-Fourteen’s are looking forward to another good season ahead.

The Yeovil Town Ladies Under-Fourteen squad play their home games at the Chilthorne Domer Sports Ground on Saturday mornings at 10.30am. They also train the Tintinhull Sports Ground each Tuesday evening from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.
